Hello Everyone!!!
How are you all?? The UEEH got through winter and came out in a different fur… almost a new skin!
Yup! That’s right! We’re changing locations this year - we will not grace the grounds of Luminy with our feet. After many hours of debate and labor on the part of our research team, we had to make a choice. The UEEH will thus take place this year at the agricultural high school of Valabre-Gardanne, a charming little village situated between Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, from the 18th to the 31st of July 2016!
We are thrilled - a new place, new experiences, a more accessible space, a huge kitchen, a guaranteed positive transformation from head to toe. We’re doing great!!! Apparently, we can’t have everything though... the calanques aren’t 30 minutes away by foot, there are only 40 individual rooms and 25 shared rooms for 2, 3, or 4 people. This will force us to change our state of mind in regards to living in a collective atmosphere, but thankfully, we have a great team this year who will foster this collectivity and prioritize all questions of inclusivity and wellbeing.
On the agenda:
From the 18th to the 21st all “relay-participants” are welcome! Everyone who is motivated to help with the setup and organisation for a week of workshops can contribute according to their interests and fortés! (translations, postering, installation and space setup, collective kitchen organising, welcoming, etc)
The General Opening Assembly will take place on Thursday, July 21st in the middle of the day - beginning a marvelous week of workshops, discussions, screenings, performances, in addition to every activity proposed by the participants. This autonomous period of time also entails the participation of everyone in various daily tasks which permit the successful functioning of the UEEH (kitchen duty, dishes, cleaning, organizing, etc)
The General Closing Assembly will take place on Thursday, July 28th in the middle of the day, and will start the deinstallation period which will finish Sunday, July 31st.

The call for participation which explains the theme of this year’s UEEH and will most definitely give you a strong desire to come, create, and share this two-week period with us, or to invite friends to do so. It is followed by the participation sheet, which you can fill out and send to educpop@ueeh.net to suggest a workshop, screening, concert, performance, or whatever you are thinking of!

From May 26th to 29th, we will be holding an organisational weekend in Marseille. We only have two left - afterwards is the UEEH, and things will start to accelerate from here on out! As usual, everyone is welcome to come and help out!!!
