Physical accessibility
The UEEH 2024 will take place at the high school of Vic-en-Bigorre, a place classified as « an establishment open to the public » (ERP, a French norm).
All the interior spaces on the ground floor are accessible thanks to a ramp. The bedrooms are on the first floor with an elevator, 4 rooms (with 2 places available for each) have a wheelchair accessible bathroom with handrails and several toilets are available in the whole building. All activity rooms are accessible. The outdoor areas consist of tarmac, gravel or grass. The gymnasium is accessible at ground level. Access to the river is limited and is via a unpaved path.
Most of the lighting is neon, which is not adapted to people with photosensitivity.
Specific spaces can be set up at the request of the participants (interaction-free space, non verbal space …)
If you have any questions or specific needs, don’t hesitate to send an email at contact@ueeh.net.
Audism
For the moment, we don’t have Sign Language translation. We are waiting to hear back from potential grant applicants and from the people we have contacted to make this happen.
Contact us at contact@ueeh.net if you are an interpreter and could participate, or if you know anyone who could.
Collective living
This event brings together a lot of people, which can be very tiring, and the communal areas can be very noisy. However, the bedrooms, located on the upper floors, are quieter. It is possible not to queue to eat and not to eat in the cafeteria if you need to. Single rooms can be requested if necessary (please note that there are very few of these).
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are allowed on the premises.
Though, please note that pet dogs are not allowed.
Collective health measures
A health protocol is available in the 2024 Edition section.
If you have any questions or specific needs or requirements, please do not hesitate to contact us at contact@ueeh.net.
