How to come to Valabre-Gardanne CFPPA?

From Marseille Airport
From Marseille-Provence airport, you need to take a shuttle to Saint-Charles train station.
From there, take a TER (regional train) until Gardanne (see next section).
There are different kinds of shuttles (buses and trains) linking Marseille-Provence airport to Marseille Saint-Charles train station. Time schedules and prices are to be found on Marseille-Provence airport’s website. It takes around 25 minutes.

From Marseille port.
From the port, you have to cross the Joliette square along the Joliette dock (where the boats accost). The Joliette metro station is just cross the square, in Republique street. Take the metro M2 in direction of Sainte-Marguerite Dromel, until Saint-Charles train station (3 min), then take a RER (regional train) to Gardanne (see next section).

By train
From Aix-en-Provence (central station) or Marseille (Saint-Charles station), take a TER (regional train).
From Aix-en-Provence: duration 10 min, price: 3 euros.
From Marseille: duration: 30 min, price: 5,90 euros

By car
If you don’t have a GPS, you can use a map app or website such as mappy, using this address:

From Aix-En-Provence: take the D7 road in direction of Gardanne-Marseille (20 min)
From Marseille: take the A7 highway in the direction of Aix-en-Provence. Then take the D6, Bouc-Bel-Air in direction of Gardanne. You will see ’Vallabre’ signs (30 min).

By bus
From Marseille: take the ’64’ line from Marseille Saint-Charles station in direction of Trets, until Gardanne station. Price: 3,60 euros, duration: 30 min.

From Gardanne station:
From Gardanne station, take the bus number 290 (line Mimet – Aix-en-Provence) until the “Hameau de Valabres” stop.
Caution: there is only one bus per hour from 7 am to 7 pm. We strongly advise you to arrive during this period of time. For exceptional cases of late arrivals, self-managed shuttles could be organized from among the participants.

Once on spot...
You can park in the visitors car park, or inside one of the two internal car parks if the doors are open (doors will be only open at specific times which are yet to be defined).
